John P. Lower, born in 1833, died in 1915, figured in the Philadelphia City directories as of 1851.
He made Indian trade guns until 1860. In the 1860s he moved to Denver Colorado where he stayed until 1880s.
Later he went into business with Carlos Grove of Grove & Co. They purchased the firearms business of
Frank W. Freud.
